The Los Angeles Superior court closed it’s courthouse to the public in late March 2020.  After safety precautions were enacted, the court partially reopened in June.  However, there were substantial changes in court procedure.  The court established and encouraged video appearances by attorneys.  This has proven to be somewhat successful.  The courtroom access is limited and the seating has about a 6 foot separation.  However, the court allows attorneys and the public to enter the courtrooms on a limited basis.  The prepandemic courtroom crowded hallways, are now mostly empty.  This seems to be the situation until the pandemic is over.
